Lord of The Rings Online, the MMORPG made after J. R. R. Tolkien’s famous books, had different subscription plans, including a base plan of 15$ and a lifetime plan for a 200$ payment.

But now there’s a holiday offer that allows you to buy 3 months of play for just 30$(that makes it 33% cheaper than the normal price per month):

The Lord of the Rings Online special holiday promotion lets new and existing subscribers play for only $9.99 a month when they sign up for three months of service for the special price of $29.97, subject to certain terms and conditions.
Players who subscribe to the promotion will continue to be billed $29.97 every three months for as long as they maintain an active account with The Lord of the Rings Online or until they choose a different billing plan.

A rumor regarding Call of Duty 5 emerged today on the internet stating that the next game in the series will again be a World War II themed shooter. The rumor began with a job advertisement written by Treyarch, the game studio that brought us the first three Call of Duty games, saying that they are looking for a new level designer to

“Build realistic levels for an industry leading First-Person Shooter action war franchise using Radiant quickly and efficiently.”.

Nothing new until now, right?. Well here comes the interesting part:

And if you’re a fan of World War 2 shooters, then even better!

This could be about a different game but at the same time it could be about the next game in the Call of Duty series. We’ll just have to wait and see if it is true or not.

Gametrailers.com brings us the latest trailer of the next GTA installment: Grand Theft Auto IV.

The expectations for this game are huge and people are already considering it “the game of the year 2008″. Let’s just hope it doesn’t disappoint.

The latest EVE Online patch, the one that gives you the extra-cool graphis apparently had a big bug in it(now fixed). The developers of the patch oddly chose to alter the boot.ini file on Windows XP systems. Sadly it failed to do that and instead of replacing the file it just deleted it.

This resulted in a failure to boot the affected system after the computer was restarted. Although the files were removed in case you know someone who had this problem, if he updated EVE before this happened it was surely it.
